The Javascript version needs a server and browser as “environment”.
For that you have to options:

  • Use a “real” server (shared or dedicated), and browse over the Internet
  • Use a local server and browse from a local file

This complete and free package (X: Windows, MAC, Unix, A: Apache Web Server, M: MySQL Database, P: PHP, P: Perl) can be easily installed and used.
To act as a Web server for Javascript packages only the Apache Web server needs to be started.

See Basic Settings – publish location for a convenient way to directly publish an Mz3 Book to the “web space” of the XAMPP local server.
