Also movies can be displayed in the book, i.e. directly within a page.
In case of Javascript movies must not span across the fold (middle) of the book. Otherwise the video will be shown in a new tab or window.

Set video parameters for JS

With a Javascript, the specific parameters can be set directly in the “Add Video Element” window.

Videos can play within single or double pages; as long as the complete video box (preview image) fits into the single page, or in case of a double page it is positioned either on the left or right half of the double page.
It must not be wider than a single page and not cross the fold in the middle of a double page.
Operation is very easy: As soon as the above conditions are met, the “In Book Video” checkbox appears and the checkbox is pre-selected.

If the video is too wide or spans across the fold, that option disappears and the video will play in a separate window or tab (depending on the user’s preferences).
A video that “could” play within the book, can optionally be opened in a separate window/tab also.
For this simply un-check the box.

After the browse icon !! button is clicked, a movie can be selected in the opening File Explorer / Finder window; And then accepted with “Open”.
