Add pages to the book

If the structure of the Mz3 book needs to be changed and additional pages should be added, this menu item provides a quick and convenient solution.
Eventually, PDF pages are converted to Page Images, so now also books created from PDF files can be easily expanded in this way.

The reference page for inserting new, blank pages is always the currently open page.
You can insert new pages before or after the current page, but never before the first page or after the last page.
Switching before / after is done via the button which shows the current setting (“Insert After” or “Insert Before”).

Each book, whether a single page book or a double page book, always has at least one first page (front cover page) and one last page (back cover page).

If several pages are to be inserted, the number of pages can be entered.

Double pages must not be split, as elements are often spanning across the middle of the book and the logical unit is an (open) double page.
If an odd number of pages in a single page book is deleted (this is allowed, but not recommended!), an empty last page is inserted because a book always must have an even number of pages.
This btw is true also for “real” books: Only one “sheet”, consisting of two page sides (front and back) can be removed.

The default number of pages is set to “2”, which is a good fit in most use cases.
The reference/start page can be changed in selecting another page in the book (flip forward/backward, jump to a page). The new open page is immediately used as the new start page.

After inserting the blank pages, the number of pages in the book is adjusted accordingly.
