Another option for creating Page Images in converting a PDF file is to use any design tool or image processing tool like e.g.
- Word (Microsoft)
- Text Wrangler (Apple)
- Open Office, Scribus, Gimp
- Corel Draw
- Photoshop (Adobe)
- Lightroon (Adobe)
- On1
- Affinity Photo
Or as a professional user, you might use
- InDesign (Adobe)
- QuarkExpress
- Microsoft Publisher
All those tools offer an option to export the “designed pages” as JPG, PNG or SVG image.
In such case, you’ll browse for your images instead of looking them up in the “PDF Page Image Folders”.
You might be tempted to use an export to a PDF file; what generally is working fine and could save you some effort in defining page sizes, book type and page count.
But quality suffers and usually, it takes much longer due to that many conversion steps (->PDF, PDF -> SWF, SWF -> PNG, PNG -> JPG).
