The MegaZine3 Suite includes three programs:

  • mz3Tool
This is the main interface you’ll use to create and manage Mz3 Books.
It is kind of IDE (Integrated Development Environment).
  • megazine3
the megazine program comes in three flavors (3 different programs at the end). All variants present an Mz3 Book, but with different technologies
    1. Javascript
For use in a Browser, loading the content over the Internet (Online use).
All devices that support any major Browser (Chrome, Bing, Firefox, Safari, Opera, …) will work.
    2. Actionscript 3
For use on desktop computers (Windows 10 and OSx)
    3. FLASH
For use in a Browser with FLASH support; only for desktop computers (no mobile devices).
Please keep in mind that FLASH is “deprecated”: Adobe will cease support in 2020. And all major browsers already make it difficult to use Flash, because certain settings have to be made. The “normal” user will have difficulties with that…

Whatever technology you want to use, it is very easy to build the corresponding “package”. It is simply a matter of one selection during the Publish Step. And all the rest is done automatically by mz3Tool.
You can make use of all three options with the same configuration, which offers full freedom of choice.

  • mz3Viewer
This is an ActionScript program that can be downloaded for free from our website and can be installed on Windows 10 and MAC OSx computers.
This “App” makes use of special packages (ZIP files, but with the file extension “.mz3z) that are built by mz3Tool and distributed via CD, DVD, memory stick or over the Internet (any CLoud service like Dropbox). Or as a download from your server. Once mz3Viewer is installed and the Mz3 Books as “mz3z” packages available on your local hard drive, no Internet connection or browser is needed.
